First Sentence Friday!

Hm.  This is a case of the old “never say never.”  The sentence for this week was…all of two words.  Sure, I could have left it at that.  Then, I thought, I just can’t.  I mean, when you read it, I suspect you’ll be thankful I didn’t.  Ha.  Softie me, after declaring rules are rules – I’m totally bending the rules.  Just for you.

CHAPTER TWELVE

Good God.  Mama’s acting like we’re having a visit from President Lyndon B. Johnson and Mrs. Lady Bird herself, what with all the vacuuming, scrubbing, polishing, ironing.

  • It’s been so fun to follow along with your First Sentence Fridays, Donna. And…chapter 12? We must be almost at the finish line right, for your debut to come out!? Or at least the half-way point.

Thanks so much, Lisa! Yep, Chp 12 is almost halfway. The book has 28, soooo, sometimes it still seems like it’s a ways out, but it won’t be long.

As much of a tease these have been, Donna, I wouldn’t have been surprised if you had just given us those first two words. 🙂

  • Oh, my!

  • I speak for us all when I say thank you. Those two words are intriguing, but alas, woefully insufficient as a weekly fix. ; )

I actually giggled when I put them out here. “Good God.” And that was it. I kind a wish I’d done what Colin suggested and held to my rules! 😉

  • You’re the writer here, you get to make your own rules!

I gotta love that, right Jen? I saw some spoilers in other sentences so I’m gonna have to figure that out. *****’s or xxxxxxx’s or the like.
